Dead Man Down Trailer

Niels Arden Oplev. You may find this man's name familiar. He's the Swedish television director whose original adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo made the director of Seven, Fight Club and The Social Network look bad in comparison.



Don't get me wrong; I love David Fincher, but his Dragon Tattoo remake was disappointing, and sometimes a big Hollywood ego needs to be crushed in order to get back to greatness.

Now, it's Oplev who has stepped into the Hollywood arena for his English language debut Dead Man Down. The film stars Colin Farrell as a mob henchman who turns on his boss, played by Terrence Howard, and also reunites Oplev with his Lisbeth Salander actress, Noomi Rapace. The trailer is pretty action heavy and awesome, and the film has come out nowhere to become one of my most anticipated films of the year.
