A Pair of Classic 'Ghibli' Features Are (Finally) Headed to Blu-Ray

I bring tidings of wonderful news for fellow Studio Ghibli fans out there. A pair of Ghibli classics are finally recieving the HD treatment in their native land. For the past few years now, Ghibli have slowly been reaching into the vault and remastering its films in glorious 1080p for Blu-Ray release. The comapny has announced its latest additions to the roster with the much fan favourite and much anticipated Princess Mononoke followed by another beloved favourite The Cat Returns.
As of this date, there is no word on releasing plans outside of Japan and nothing much to report on in terms of confirmed Bonus Features. But considering most of their native releases so far have contained both English subtitles and Dubs then its safe to say that a local release shouldn't follow too far behind. For you savvy importers out there, both can be pre-ordered on Yes-Asia for the steep asking price of $69 US.
Both titles are set for Japanese Release on the 4th of December this year.
