War is Brewing in the Trailer for THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES

Honest question: does anyone even know why this series is called THE HOBBIT? Sure, there's a Hobbit in it, but you'd have to be nuts to suggest that Bilbo Baggins is somehow the focus of this trilogy. God, THE HOBBIT is a trilogy. A nine-hour trilogy. That still blows my mind. Today sees the release of the first trailer for THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES, and as expected, it contains a lot of morose-looking characters standing around looking extremely worried, intercut with lots of footage of pretty CGI battles. You'll buy a ticket, as will I, though I'm still not entirely sure why. Obligation maybe? One thing's for sure - arses will be totally numb. Trailer below.
