Nicolas Winding Refn Announces New Film THE NEON DEMON

In a move seemingly designed to please me specifically, visionary director Nicolas Winding Refn (DRIVE, ONLY GOD FORGIVES) has announced (via distributors Gaumont and Wild Bunch) his latest film, the awesomely titled THE NEON DEMON. The film is described as a female-centric horror film (and seems to be replacing his previously announced female horror film, I WALK WITH THE DEAD), and sees Refn return to setting he so memorably captured in DRIVE. Here's how Refn himself describes it: "One morning I woke and realized I was both surrounded and dominated by women. Strangely, a sudden urge was planted in me to make a horror film about vicious beauty. After making 'Drive' and falling madly in love with the electricity of Los Angeles, I knew I had to return to tell the story of 'The Neon Demon.' This movie is a manifestation of the strong ties between us and will lead to many more adventures."
Hot damn, I'm excited! THE NEON DEMON will reunite Refn with composer Cliff Martinez, so expect a synthtastic instant-classic soundtrack. The film is set for release in 2016.
So are you excited? I'm guessing you are, but tell us all about it anyway in the comments below!
