Trailer for BONE TOMAHAWK is Brutally Good
There's been a nice western resurgence happening of late and site favourite Kurt Russell seems to be leading the charge. Along with Quentin Tarantino's epic-yet-intimate western THE HATEFUL EIGHT, which arrives at the end of the year, Russell has seen fit to bestow us with another bad-ass cowboy flick in BONE TOMAHAWK. Judging from the trailer, this is going to be a seriously gritty and nail-biting revisionist entry in the classic genre. It also has the coolest name imaginable.
The film, written and directed by newcomer S. Craig Zahler, sees Russell lead a party of men who set out to rescue a group of captives from a bunch of cave dwelling cannibals. Sounds kinda like THE SEARCHERS meets THE DESCENT, doesn't it? Check out the trailer below.
