Check out the Moody Korean Trailer for Kim Ki Duk's MOEBIUS

Posted by Daniel Mann

The Infamous South Korean Art House mainstay Kim Ki-Duk returns with his latest film MOEBIUS. In its original form, it was effectively banned by the South Korean censor board. After some severe editing, it has now been passed for a rating and is set to debut at the Toronto Film Festival later in the year. After reading the official synopsis provided by the Toronto Film Festival, it's not difficult to see why the film has faced numerous censorship problems.

Synopsis:

Observed by their adolescent son (Seo Young-ju), a couple's fight over the husband's infidelity turns to a grotesque calamity. After failing to sever her husband's penis, the infuriated wife chooses instead to dismember her son in order to hurt his father. Family violence sparks a chain of events that culminates in a dramatic epilogue of destruction.

MOEBIUS is set to premiere at Toronto Film Festival later in the year. For now, check out the newly released Korean trailer and let your thoughts be heard in the comments below.
