Trailer for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Swings In

Full disclosure: I didn't like THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN at all. It's not so much that I was pissed about a reboot happening so soon after Sam Raimi's great trilogy, it was more that its approach was to do the whole origin story all over again, and do a piss-poor job of it at that. We all know how Spider-man came to be, the first movie wasn't THAT long ago. Also, I didn't really like the new interpretation of Peter Parker as a cool, skateboarding (almost) emo kid who has sullen skating montages set to Coldplay music. Also, the way that Uncle Ben dies is straight-up dogshit. Still, with the origin stuff out of the way, we can finally get into that sweet Spidey goodness. This new trailer looks pretty damn good. The updated costume looks fantastic. I like how the film looks extremely colourful and vibrant. The swinging looks awesome, and the bad guys look cool (the quick glimpse of Rhino's mech suit made me happy). Jamie Foxx's Electro in particular looks like it will be one of Spider-man's more memorable villains. Dane DeHaan also looks good as a young and creepy Leonardo DiCaprio.
Please don't disappoint us again, Spidey.
