Watch the First Trailer for the Live Action KIKI'S DELIVERY SERVICE

A new trailer for the upcoming Live Action Adaptation of KIKI'S DELIVERY SERVICE has hit the airwaves. Uhhh, yeah. Perhaps it should have stayed as a Ghibli Animated Feature instead.

This is the second adaptation of Eiko Kadono's novel and is Directed by Takashi Shizimu -- best known for JU-ON: THE GRUDGE and subsequently its English Language Remake of the same name. Introducing newcomer Füka Koshiba in the titular role of Kiki. It also features Tadanobu Asanou (best known as the sadistic Yakuza enforcer Kakihara in ICHI THE KILLER) which is always a plus. On paper, there are enough elements to like about this Live Action Adaptation. Let's just hope the final product can live up to its potential. Even if that first trailer is underwhelming.

KIKI'S DELIVERY SERVICE is set for release in Japanese Cinemas Next March. No word yet on International Distribution Plans.
