It's no secret that I'm an APES movie freak. I've written quite a bit about this series in the past; about its highs and lows. Thankfully, RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES was such an enormous high for the series, that it has earned enough goodwill from me to last for quite some time. It seems my goodwill is unnecesary though, as the new film, DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, is doing a pretty great job of selling itself on its own merits.
