Adam Wingard, who is best known for his clever twist on the Home Invasion with YOU'RE NEXT, returns to the Directors Chair for the eagerly anticipated Horror/Thriller THE GUEST. Paired once again with returning YOU'RE NEXT screenwriter Simon Barrett, and backed by a solid cast including the likes of Dan Stevens (DOWNTOWN ABBEY), Lance Reddick (THE WIRE) and Chase Williamson (JOHN DIES AT THE END).

A soldier (Stevens) introduces himself to the Peterson family, claiming to be a friend of their son who died in action. After the young man is welcomed into their home, a series of accidental deaths seem to be connected to his presence.

I very much enjoyed YOU'RE NEXT. I didn't find it to be as mindblowing as the hype suggested, but it was none the less an incredibly fun twist on the Home Invasion genre. Here's hoping for the best from their follow-up effort.

THE GUEST is set to Open In Cinemas Later This Year.
